Get into a match with another trainer and fight until you're up against the Pokemon you want to steal. When you're at the "FIGHT/ITEM/PKMN/RUN" menu, flip the GS switch into the "On" position, then flip it back into the "Off" position. You may now use your Pokeball to capture the Pokemon! Also allows you to run from a match, use a poke doll in a match, whirlwind out of a match, or teleport out of a match, all resulting in victory. This code temporarily stops random battles.

Tips/tricks
Stand on a bush: first you cut down a bush, then you save your game, and then turn it off and then back on. You will be standing on a bush!

Stand on a bush: Cut down a bush. Stand where the bush was. Save your game. Turn it off then turn it back on. You will be standing on the bush.
Get Mew: First you must trade someone with cut and surf. Do not make the S.S. Anne leave. You also need Strength. When you are about to go on the Saint Anne, don't go. Instead, Surf on the right side and there will be a truck. Use strength to move the truck.There will a Poke'ball, Inside is Mew. Pick it up.(Dah).

Better Chance at catching wild Poke'mon: When you throw a ball press down and (B) and it usually catches the Poke'mon.
Get Diploma: After you get 150 Poke'mon, go to the Celadon City Mansion and talk to the guy who is not on the computer. He will give you a Diploma. (In the Japanese version he will give you a Mew.)
Fight land Poke'mon in the water: Go to Cinnabar island. Surf on the right side of the island, half on water and half on land. You should be able to battle the Poke'mon in the last patch of grass you visited.
Make your Poke'mon stats rise: After a battle with the elite four, deposite what you want to gain stats. Pull them out and WALA!! All of their stats have rised. (freaky, huh?)
Get on Cycling rode without a Bike: Deposite your bike. Then try to go on the road. But a man will stop you. As soon as he says wait up, hold the control pad ledft. When you get on the road you won't have a bicycle.
Phantom PC: Go into the Hotel in Celadon City. Go right. Make your person look North. Press (A) and there will be a PC.
Fish in statues: Go in front of a statue and use your Super rod. You will be fishing!
MissingNo: The easiest way to get missingno is to fly to Viridian city, talk to the old man who shows you how to capture a Weedle and then fly to Cinnabar Island. Surf on the right side of the island half on land and half on water.( You can duplicate items if you put them in the sixth slot of your items list.) Surf up and down until you find it. You will also probable find extremely high Poke'mon in the water. I wouldn't catch the missingno. My brother did and it will mess up your game. After you beat the elite four, look at the hall of fame, it would probable be all messed up. Don't try this trick unless you really want to. I tried it and I can't have linked battles, it always messes up. To duplicate your items just run from missingNo.
